Birla Institute of Technology, Patna (BIT Patna; Hindi: ????? ???????????? ???????, ????) is an educational institution offering undergraduate courses in engineering and technology, located in Patna, Bihar, India. It is an extension center of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi.
BIT-P was established in 2006, as the result of an MoU signed between Birla Institute of Technology and the government of Bihar in December 2005. The government of Bihar allotted 25 acres (100,000 m2) of land and released the funds for establishing the campus. The foundation stone was laid on 24 December 2005.The Patna Extension Centre was inaugurated on 21st September 2006 with admission to the B.E. Programmes in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
